Don't ask me what i want to be..................

the other day someone asked me what i wanted to be or do, the truth is its hard enough being me with out thinking about that question.

I am torn between my inner hippie and my desire to be a success.

There are days when I yearn to travel the world .................

Then there are the days when I dream of being successful having my own company(not sure what that is quite yet)
its so hard trying to decide what you want to be, there are so many options, it really does my head in.
I blame society really, we have become a country who judges people on there dreams, don't try and deny it. I admit. I have snubbed a dreamers dream and probably along the way crushed it, who hasn't.

why cant things be so simple, why cant i get to my destination and do both, free my inner hippe and become the next Anna Wintour ( excuse my slight exaggeration).

I will tell you why, its because i have always been around the "you cant people" where things are just to dam hard and there are always complications.

I have been like that my whole entire life...if someone was to ask me "what do you want to be " it would always be" I want to .... but i cant" it wasn't till a friend who is always on the positive vibe got so frustrated with me constantly saying"i cant, i cant i cant "

Screamed something i always knew but never considered"for once can you stop saying you CAN'T and say i will give it a go"

I don't know why I hadn't thought of her words of wisdom on my own but I do know that my bubbly "love life" sorta friend was right.

So fellow bloggers Its taken me twenty three years to get here and its been a hard long ride but i am slowly but surely reaching my destination and getting off this confusion train, I still don't know what i want to but then again who does right?

Miss you beach babe and chika
I will get over there soon enough, and when I do we will be sipping cocktails on the beach in Greece :-) Till then hope you two are having the time of your lives.

Ponsonby, it’s a great place isn’t it? Just walking down the street you are bound to see all different walks of life. To me it’s like the cool kid in the playground that the other kids look up to, so it wasn’t any wonder that Karen Walker should open up shop there, all I have to say to that is “about time”.

The Karen Walker shop is so cute that the other shops on Ponsonby road just might want to up there game. Not only is it a beautiful shop it has the most amazing staff (to be honest I only met the manager Scarlet but I was sold after meeting her) her vast knowledge about every aspect of the shop was impeccable. Now I don’t know if it bugs you but I cant stand nothing more then walking into a shop and the staff are a) rude and don’t even batter an eyelid when you walk in or do the complete opposite and give you the total look up and down then go back to flicking through there magazine or b) Keep hounding you to buy something they then lie to you and tell you that the dress you have on makes you look “so amazing and really suits you” when it really makes you look like a marshmallow wrapped tightly in plastic.

On the weekend myself and Nicole (she’s my bestie) befriennded the shop owner from Little Black Crown in St Kevin’s arcade(another beautiful shop that you should check out from a husband and wife team) we ended up talking about Karen Walker(among other things including fashion week) for at least 30 mins ( ok, so it was closer to an hour, but I don't want to sound like a stalker) . This guy was so inspired by Karen walker that he and his wife opened up shop and also design their own clothes - and it’s all thanks to her. This just goes to show how really amazing Karen walker is and what an empire she has, I mean yeah she has some of the most beautiful clothes I have ever seen but, did you know that Karen Walker also designs everything from jewelry and sunglasses to her very own books (which are all sold at the ponsonby shop) - she even has her own range of paint at Resene. To think she started from humble beginnings in the A otea M arkets and now she sends her clothes down the catwalk at New York Fashion week , not to mention the fact that her label is worn by all the hottest Hollywood celebs - yet she still manages to open up shop in Ponsonby and be there herself to greet her customers - it really makes you think that anyone can really do anything once you put your mind to it doesn’t it
